Account Deletion
You can delete your Kidlio account and its personal data at any time.
Delete from within the app
Once the Kidlio mobile app is in the stores, you will be able to delete your account from within it via Profile > Profile Info > Delete Account. The app is not released yet; for now, use the email route below.
Request by email
If you can't access the app, email us from the address registered to your account at contact@brainytech.net with the subject 'Account deletion request'; we'll process your request within 30 days at the latest.
What happens to your data?
A deleted account is closed to access right away. Personal data (name, email, child information) is irreversibly anonymized within 30 days. If you tick “Delete permanently now” while deleting, this happens without the wait. Height/weight measurements, memory notes and sleep records are not anonymized, they are deleted outright. Payment/invoice records subject to legal retention obligations are stripped of personal information and kept for the period required by applicable legislation. If you have a store subscription, you need to cancel it separately in the store; deleting your account does not stop it automatically.
What if you own a family?
If other people are in a family you own, you choose what happens to it before deleting your account. If you transfer ownership to an admin, the family, child profiles and memories stay; only your personal information is deleted. If you choose to delete the family too, everyone in it is notified by email; admins marked as parents can take it over within 30 days. If no one does, the family, child profiles and memories are permanently deleted.
